Grant Application Review Process

Employee Relief Fund grant applications will be reviewed weekly as received by a committee of seven employees located across the company. The determination on the grant request will be presented to the applicant the day after the committee meets. If approved, a check will be issued to the applicant by the beginning of the week after the application was reviewed.

  • Upon receipt of a grant application in the Employee Relief Fund Office, the application will be date stamped.
     
  • Employment will be verified.
     
  • A copy of the application will be made and the applicant’s personal information will be deleted from the copy. The original application form will be kept in the ERF files for IRS purposes.
     
  • The copy of the application will be either faxed, or scanned and e-mailed, to the committee members before the next application review date.
     
  • Committee members will review the application against established criteria and determine if an award will be granted, and the amount of such award.
     
  • Three committee members create a quorum.
     
  • The applicant will be notified by telephone of the committee’s determination by an ERF staff member.
     
  • If approved, a check will be issued by the beginning of the week after the application was reviewed.
